Personal Care Questions

Personal care covers support with the daily tasks that keep you well and comfortable: showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting and moving safely around your home. It can also include help with medications where that's in your plan. If you're unsure whether something you need falls under this heading, describe it to us and we'll tell you how the NDIS treats it.
That's our aim, and our size makes it realistic. You'll be matched with one or two regular workers who learn your routine, your preferences and the small things that matter, like how you take your coffee or which order you like to do things in. When leave or illness means a change, we tell you beforehand and brief whoever is coming, so nothing needs re-explaining.
Yes, personal care sits within the Core Supports budget of your NDIS plan, usually under Assistance with Daily Life. Core funding is flexible, which means you have room to shape how much support you use and when. Your plan manager or support coordinator can confirm exactly how your budget applies, or we can look at your plan with you and map it out.
Yes, and most people do combine it. Personal care pairs naturally with community access, capacity building or plan management, and having one provider across them means your workers actually talk to each other. A change in your morning routine gets known by your whole team, not lost between organisations. You can start with it alone and add other supports whenever you're ready.

From first contact to first shift usually takes a week or two, and you approve the plan before anything begins.
